PITCHOUGUINA – Spring/Summer ’16
For three years now I’ve been occasionally sharing with you my love for a wonderful designer, whom I
had the pleasure to finally meet in real life during my last trip to London. And believe me when I say,
Anna was exactly as I have imagined her to be ; sweet, humble, quirky, hard working and most of all
an inspiring human being. I was extremely happy to pay Anna a visit in her studio. It was a beautiful
evening ; we sat, talked about life, work, dreams, future plans, and then she showed me around and
introduced me to her latest collection, which was again “OH, M Gee” all sorts of amazing.
Pitchouguina’s SS16 collection features a mix of off white, navy and blue colors. With an interesting mix
between stiff, solid textiles and super fine lace trims and light flowy fabrics. All together they create a very
summery, yet melancholic seaside feel. See-through details overlap to create some additional subtle color
mixtures. While working on the collection Anna concentrated on creating a variety of looks offering
both directional, special items as well as casual, everyday pieces. With a big attention to details,
such as button up pockets, wide straps and cross backs that added a modern, yet feminine touch.
This collection has to be my favorite to date, besides the SS15 which I was totally obsessed with last year.
I was lucky enough to take with me even a few pieces and take some pictures on a sunny London afternoon,
so stay tuned for an outfit post coming this week. Meanwhile make sure to follow Anna Pitchouguina on
Facebook & Instagram and join her amazing journey full of transparency, dedication and melancholic dreams.
Happy Mondaaay!
